Within a few years, Jacques Greene has had a deep impact on the house genre through both his own productions and collaborations with other artists. With his brand new debut album, he will visit Lille VEGA on march 21st. The concert is a part of the CPH:DOX’s concept AUDIO:VISUALS and is presented under the 2017 edition of the documentary festival.

Producer Jacques Greene is known for his collaborations with and remixes of songs by artists such as Tinashe, Radiohead, The xx, Sampha and Shlohmo. Now he is ready to give us his long awaited debut album, Feel Infinite, which is the culmination of several years of creative and groundbreaking music work.

The young DJ and producer Jacques Greene created the musical foundation for an entirely new genre within club music. This is a genre that fusions the 90’s hip hop music, R’n’b, house and techno, and which now inspires and paves the way for a new generation of musicians.

In 2016 the first single “You Can’t Deny” was released – a beautiful and soulful techno production, that elegantly set the foundation for the release of the euphoric club hit “Afterglow”. Both songs are to be found on the awaited album together with nine other unreleased tracks.

Music that gathers people

Jacques Greene says about his debut album: ”The essence of the record is to draw emotions and moments that above all, feel human within the context of dance music. I want it to be celebratory of all that we feel and do and experience – the beautiful, the good, and the bad.”

With Feel Infinite, Jacques Greene seeks to inspire instead of making people forget. Through the music he seeks to talk to what brings all of us closer together. According to him, it is all about finding a deeper meaning within oneself and one’s unbreakable bond to everything in this world.

On the album, Jacques Greene works with close friends and colleagues who all have roots in their home city Montreal. The creative soul of the city permeates the songs as to the vocal collaboration with How To Dress Well as well as with several visual artists like Hassan Rahim and Mathieu Forting.
