After the screening you can meet dancer Malou Airaudo in a conversation about diversity and representation in dance. Malou Airaudo is a long-standing member of the company in Wuppertal, was in the original cast of Le Sacre du Printemps and today travels around with the production, where she partly supports the young dancers, but also takes the stage herself in the duet Common Ground[s]. Look forward to screenings of the two films 'And, Towards Happy Alleys' and 'Between Revolutions' followed by concerts, poetry readings and a talk v. Voices of Iran. The bookstore (Un)told pages sells books and merchandise during the break between the two films. Half of the ticket revenue goes to Voice of Iran's work for a democratic, free and just Iran.

Conversations about fleeing war

The youth editorial team presents a conversation with young refugees who have themselves experienced the horrors of war up close. Meet Marharyta Varadovska from Ukraine, in conversation with the youth editorial board member Rolin Ali, who has herself fled from Syria to Denmark. Before the conversation, Rolin from the Youth Editorial Board, will read her own original poem. The conversation is moderated by Shubhdeep Singh Parwana from DFUNK and is presented in collaboration with Roskilde Festival Højskole.

Concert with CPH Folk Club

After the film there will be a concert where the experienced musician and co-founder of the Tønder Festival, Rod Sinclair, will take us into the musical universe of the protest songs and political music of Joan Baez's time. Rod has been singing and playing banjo and guitar on folk music stages all over the world and in Denmark since 1967. With him is double bassist Steffan Søgård Sørensen. The concert is spiced with anecdotes from the time and historical perspectives. Hear, for example, about the time Rod met Joan Baez in Canada. Arranged together with Copenhagen Folk Club og the Folk Music Archive in Tønder. Before the screening and concert you can enjoy a meal from 5:30pm.
