Can you still be a recognized artist as a scoundrel?

Film screening followed by a conversation with artist Jens Haaning, director Ole Juncker and the head of collections and research at SMK, Camilla Jalving. After the conversation, there will be a guided tour of Jens Haaning's art works.

Recognized painter with artworks exhibited at the country’s largest museums and galleries. Can you still be a scoundrel? Be invited into the artist’s own reality when we show the film ‘Take the Money and Run’ at the Danish National Museum of Art. The film delves into questions about the limits of the artist’s freedom, personal finances and provocation. After the film screening, we invite artist Jens Haaning, director Ole Juncker and the deputy director and head of collections and research at the Danish National Museum of Art, Camilla Jalving, on stage for a conversation about the importance of art – and the artist – for society and the dilemmas that the works can help to raise. After the conversation, you can join a guided tour of Jens Haaning’s artwork with SMK’s art educator. Discover, among other things, the piece DANMARK in the museum’s foyer and learn about the conceptual artist’s work.
