CPH:DOX nominates films for awards in four international competitions, as well the Politiken audience award and the Doc Alliance award. The winning films are selected by juries composed of international professionals.

DOC ALLIANCE AWARD

Three films selected from the range of films nominated for this year’s Doc Alliance Award – a prize that is awarded by CPH:DOX and six other European documentary film festivals: FIDMarseille, DocLisboa, Planete Dok Review, Visions du Réel, Jihlava IDFF and DokLeipzig.

Politiken’s Audience Award is based on an audience vote. The audience can vote for the ten nominees directly in the cinemas.

DR TALENT AWARD 2015

Young filmmakers have a unique opportunity to present their film idea to the professional documentary film industry. 25,000 DKK is at stake in development and production funding from the Danish public broadcastin corporation – DR, with equipment being provided by the Danish Film Institute’s Film Workshop. The Talent Award focuses on the development of young and creative directing talents. The 10 selected finalists compete at a talent pitch at Cinemateket, and a professional panel will announce the final winner of the Talent Award.
